I am sure this has been beat to death...but i am ready to purchase new rear suspension items for my 69 ss chevelle 12 bolt posi 4:10 gears.. auto with a projection of 500-600 HP
looking for feedback.. my first choice at this point is BMR, with adjustable settings. then i am looking at UMI, edelbrock, hotchkis, etc there are so many i am looking for opinions.. this car will mostly run the street and some track on the weekends.also do i need to buy anti hop bars at the same time or will the setup suffice without them?
Thanks

If you are looking to use the hot rods to hell kit, make sure you dont have an expensive rear exit exhaust kit for your car on there. I dont think it can really be done with rear exit exhaust unless you drop a hell of a lot more on a pretty custom job. here are some guys working on something of the like http://www.metalworksperformance.com/main.cfm?CFID=328167&CFTOKEN=78388477 But if you look at the price for the truck arm kit from any of those guys it is EXPENSIVE. You could get a four link in your car for cheaper IMO. But i guess its up to you and its your car and depends on what you wanna do with it. Just my .02 Good luck

If its mostly a street car I would go with bmr, but thats just my choice from what I checked into. I used solid rodends and double adjustable upper and lowers. But I have put 3000 miles on car in 3 yrs, so it is mostly a weekend cruiser/bracket racer. Also I wouldn't bother with no- hop bars. Put an antirroll bar in if you don't have a factory one.

Blue66...i think i am going to get the BMR's with adustables on top...what are you refering to as an anti roll? stock wise.. a sway bar..i see after market kits for anti roll that go through the trunk but i dont want to cut up the car. i am redoing to rear right now putting 4:10's and after market axles and c-clip eliminaters,I plan on pulling the 396 and getting a 454 and would like to get the car into the low 12's high elevens. and you have a nice car,,i like seeing the front wheels come off the ground!

I'm sure blue66 is refering to a sway bar. Make sure any aftermarket rear lower control arms that you do purchase will accommodate one.

Yes I am refering to a stock sway bar. This is an aftermarket one that works well but has a price to go with it. www.hrpartsnstuff.com It is much stiffer than stock and doesn't bind up the lower control arms.

I am using their sway bar, but not their control arms.
