Does the '70 Sweep dash include the same ring ground wire that runs from the headlight switch to the wiper switch? I'm going to do the conversion and just trying to plan ahead to see if I'll need to locate that wire for the new SS style dash or not.

Last month I removed my 70 sweep dash to replace the original gauges. The headlight switch ground wire went down to the metal frame of the dash, just to the right of the air vent and below the steering column. Two other grounds also connected to the same thin strip of metal.

When I reassembled the dash, I added two new ground wires from the dash metal frame to the parking brake bracket and to the firewall.

No the sweep dash headlight switch/wiper switch grounding is not the same as the grounding for the SS/Monte Carlo dash.
