For those who are interested...

I went through a Tire & Wheel search for a few weeks and settled on a set of 17” Eagle Alloys Series 211 (TT2 knock-offs).

The wheels look great (IMO), and they were sized right for a Chevelle without going with a custom back space (averaged under $200 each).

I got:
Front
17x8 4.5” bs Nitto NT555 - 255/45/17 (wheel part# 2119-8878)

Back
17.9.5 5.5” bs – Nitto NT555 – 285/40/17 (wheel part# 2119-8980)

These wheels fit the car very well, leaving plenty of room, front & back, on my convertible.

I have less than $1600 in the whole thing, including wheels, tires, shipping, valve stems, lugs, locks, mounting, & balance.

Looks really cool. Does Eagle provide custom backspacing on those wheels? I was looking at the TT2's also but these might be a nice alternative. I have Cragar SS's now which I like the look of, but they have been impossible to balance and the chrome is peeling off :(

The wheels look very nice. What kind of space do you have left between the out lip and the frame?

I don't really know if Eagle offers custom back-spacing. The standard sizes are listed on their site:

I got mine from a Steve's Wheels, who I found on ebay:

I have more space on the inside (I would guess about 3/4" - 1") than on the outside (I would guess I have about 3/8"-1/2"). I think I could probably make 315's work if I was prepaired to roll or trim the lip just a little.

I emailed EAGLE wheels using the link on their website. I asked a simple question. "Do you offer custom wheel spacing on your series 211 wheels" and I got this response emailed back to me:

"Go to www. aewheel.com for tech support.
Thank you.
Thanks,
Jeff"

Well that was a waste of my time.

Which link on their website did you use? I don't even see one. You might try calling one of their distributors (other I don't know if they would help any).

I just clicked on "CONTACTS" on the left side of their main page. I really like the series 211 wheels, but I want to go big in the back and they don't show on their website anything near a 5.5inch backspacing I'd need for a 10inch rim.
