a week ago my 69 chevelle dropped a shock on the front passanger side. so i ordered the correct shocks for it, gas compressed pro ride heavy duty shocks, and put them in, i havnt done the backs yet but i got the front two in. now the left side dips a little , is it that i have that side to tight, or what? im really confused right now and your help would be appreciated, any suggestions are welcome. it might just need to be aligned and balanced or at least thats the only thing i can come up with but i have very limited experence with suspension. thank you for your time and help

I'm not sure what you mean by "dips a little". Shocks are for suspension rebound, it is the spring that controls bounce, ride height, etc. can you explain more what you are experiencing?

The passanger side of the car is slightly lower than the driver side when you look at it from the front. does that mean i need new springs?

Yes, unless one of them has shifted on it's perch when you had the shocks out.

There is a pigtail end on the spring that fits into the perch a certain way, if the spring was rotated so that this pigtail is not in position, it "could" result in the car sitting higher on one side.
