Beautiful car. I've got the ugly twin of it, definitely inspiring to see your pictures. Mine was originally Lemans blue with white top and parchment interior. But after seeing yours, I might keep mine red and black like it is now.

I dont know I like that blue in 69; and the blue with white is a very classy color combination, interior code parchment as well? Ironically, my car should have Garnet Red exterior, with Black bench seat column shift automatic(which I converted 2 years ago to the floor), with a white top? go figure that one. Red exterior, black interior, white top.....eeehhhccchhh. lol.

Looks great now, don't change a thing! What's the color, is it still garnet red, or a little darker?

The body shop mixed their own paint, it was Garnet Red before, but now it seems a little darker to me. It could be the BC/CC vs, the acrylic it was before, but my experience is PPG has a poor paint match system for old codes (I know I am going to get ripped on for that comment) but I prefer Dupont. Unfortunately the insurance company would only pay so much, and I had to shell out big for some "otherwise would have done it myself" things and really couldnt afford to pay extra for the paint. The painter did a really nice job though, and it is satisfactory to me. Killed by a drunk 9/17/04 and returned to me 11/18/05. The car is at my father's now, as my 67 and it's pieces are taking up my entire garage. I missed it so much, that I stared at it for an entire day. Does that make me obsessive? :D JN

is that the car that got nailed in the rear end when you had to stop quick on the highway or something like that?

anyway it is very nice

I noticed they didn't smooth the joints between the rear quarters and the filler panel above the trunk lid

I'm not picking at you about that - I was just curious if yours was originally like that or if they did that

Tom, the car got ass raped at 70 MPH by a drunk in a 35 zone a block from a cruise night, then while trying to recover the car going perpindicular to the highway in both directions, the same guy then pretty near took the front clip off the car. You are correct about the filler panel seams, the body shop was supposed to fix that after they re-welded the seams but neglected to fill them. One of the few things I am dissapointed about, eventually they crack anyway, so I guess I'll have to live with it. JN

Yes, literally the day I finished it, I was only waiting for the winter to paint it. That is a nice selection of cars you've got there too. 1BradSS396 you too should lay down the bottle and get to work so we can all meet up in Nashville next June. :beers:
