hello, it looks like I need to tilt the front side window down in the front in order for it to seal correctly with the rear side window...right now the back edge of the front window is missing the rubber and hitting the metal edge of the trim piece on the forward edge of the rear side window.

and advice would really be appreciated

Sounds like you need to pull the door panel and adjust the upper window stops. Take a look at your rollers that slide in the tracks to make sure your nylon rollers aren't broke/worn out.

Just a thought make sure it's not the door hinges and the door sagging causing this. Seems to me if it were the window you would have a gap where it runs in the channel at the front of the glass.

I have a similar problem but my gap problem is between the front and rear window. The rear window was off track so I fix it by putting the window back on the regulator. Now the windows don't meet and I have about an inch or so to make up. Can any one help me with this adjustment?

Thanks

i have spent a lot of time adjusting all side windows on my 69 olds and 65 chevelle 2DR ht's. it is hard to explain. It is covered completely in your Fisher Body service manual. I always find the applicable pages, take the book to the car, and adjust away. Be patient, it takes time.
There is definately an adjustment to tilt the door windows as needed. Can't exactly remember how now.
If the door and rear quarter windows are too far apart, each can be moved back slightly to narrow the gap. Don't expect to move just one, as you will lose contact with the weatherstrip.
If you don't have access to a manual, I will try and find mine for the 69, and review how it is done. I could maybe take a digital pic of the page and email that to you. Send me a PM if you want to try that. Good luck
