: Memmel selling his 69 Chevelle 2-Door Wagon
msra_chevelle Nov 20th, 05, 5:57 PM Ken has created yet another fine example of a 2-Door wagon GM never produced. Saw this car on the 2005 Power Tour and it is very nice.

Yep , fugly, the rear glass and the chevelle glass area just dont go together, the rear glass needs to be shaped around the chevelle shape.

this just doesn't work.
rpol7966 Nov 21st, 05, 7:24 PM Hey guys tell us how you really feel about how this wagon looks! I respect everyone's opinions and we all are free to give ours.
Take another look at Ken's car and consider the craftmanship and time that was spent building the car. He built this car in 9 weeks and had it ready for Chevelleabration last June! His whole theme was using all '69 Chevelle lines and contours. That is the reasoning for the quarter window look. I think Ken would agree that the quarter glass might have a better flow with maybe a '70 quarter window look.
Like it or not, it's quite an accomplishment to build this car. How many of us here would have the patience, skill, and determination to tackle such a project? And then he even had nerve enough to paint it black!
Just giving my view and giving credit for the car, the man and his effort. Off my soapbox!
obseSSed Nov 21st, 05, 7:33 PM The quality seems to be there and obviously he put a lot of work into it, nice job ..I really like the interior!...But it's still butt ugly
Jim Mac Nov 21st, 05, 8:31 PM I saw a 66 chevelle wagon with a B pillar and doors form a 66 el camino grafted in it. I think the car looks more natural, like a nomad, but you got to give all these guys credit, they have to be sculpters to do what they do with sheetmetal, and a torch. Jim

Ricers with ground effects, vinyl flashy graphics 22inchers, flashy/blinky lights get mobbed too, but does that make it a nice car? NOPE, I think GM will build it...:. )
dirtrocker Nov 23rd, 05, 6:57 PM While I recognise and respect the talent and quality of craftsmanship it took to create........... bodylines look odd IMO.
I've seen some others ideas of doing one of these............I'd like to see one with an elky door frame, and with a longer stretched side glass (thought of trying to split 2 side glasses with a black rubber seal on the same angle as the front and rear of the window? Prolly break alot of glass trying ;) ). Wish I had the time, $ , and space to try it.
