heads ready to go on. 820's with minor surface cut just to clean up, 1.19 and 1.88 valves, flat top pistons with valve reliefs .025 in the hole. .020 shim head gasket. .520 lift cam, Comp. mag. 280H. Do you see any piston to valve contact problem by your experience ?? Was going to check but need 2 solid lifters to do this and I don't have them. This is a for now set up with higher compression engine (468 or 496) being planned for next year sometime. Thanks.

Rich,
It should be ok, but I would check it anyway just to be sure. You really dont need a solid lifter, just put a small washer on top of the hydraulic lifter and let the pushrod sit on it. Adjust the valves to "0" lash and check it.
