my car developed a crack in the body filler in the seam where the filler panel and quater meet is this a common problem it seems like it would be if so is there a way to fix it so it won't happen again?
thanx
bob
This is a common problem, I am in the process of finishing my 69. I hope the crack doesn't reappear. This part of the body flexes so anything rigid will crack graemlins/angry.gif
I'm also curious If anyone has a long term cure for this problem

Mine is done with a seam, for this very reason. The guy who did my bodywork knew of the issue. The panel is 'seamed' and hasn't cracked (been 2years now) Purist will say "That's not correct" but at least it doesn't crack. 99.999% of the people who see the car don't know right from wrong anyway.

I would like to know the answer to this also.Mine's cracked also. :( Was told that you could used solder(lead). But I would think that would be too rigid? I saw a guy who had seams done on his also.Maybe his body man knows Dave's trick? Jim :D
