I bought the MSD 6A and the Pro billet dist(mechanical) and the blaster2 coil.....Is there anything that I should beware of or think about when I'm going to install...?

I would take off the cap and check the rotor screws to see if they have a lockwasher under them or add some loctite on the threads. I bought a distributor from MSD and it ran fine for a while until the rotor screws backed off and wiped out the cap, the pickup, and the blades on the shaft under the rotor. I sent it to MSD expecting a repair bill but it was returned no-charge. I talked to others with the same distributor and they have caught the loose screws before damage occured. They may have done something since I bought mine 6 years ago but it's worth checking.
On the ones I've wired for freinds, I always add and install a 30A fuse where the box is getting power from (the battery) and make sure too that the ignition 12V wire for the box see's 12V when the key is in the run AND start position (0V at any other time). They may not include a fuse with it but I would rather blow a 10 cent fuse from a pinched wire then have the car go up in flames from a wiring short.

I installed that set up with no issues and still run it to this day. Just follow the simple instructions that come with the unit....Good Luck, Bro http://smiley.onegreatguy.net/hyper.gif
