: 69-72 Console bracket and installation Raven May 10th, 99, 11:08 AM I am installing the horseshoe shifter and console in my car, and I'm not sure how or where to put the console bracket...there is only one for that year of car (1971). If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it. ------------------ -------- Julia '71 Chevelle :) Gary May 10th, 99, 11:35 AM The bracket is located under the rear of the console, thru the holes inside the console storage compartment. It is welded to the floor pan. There are two screws that attach the front of the console directly to the floor pan and there should be two "dimples" there to help locate. Also the shifter screws to the floor pan through the console base. I'll look in my 71 Assembly manual and see if there are any dimensions. ------------------ GARY 71 SS ACES #2412 | ||
