I am 60 years old and been on this site for 5 years and know how much everyone loves their Chevelle .Some people have real strong knowledge about cars.I thought it might be a good idea if people would like to help other people in their state and give some hands-on-help for a fair wage Maybe a directory of people willing to help other members could be setup.Does this sound good?

Jac, there used to be something in the member's section, a map showing where people live and any assistance they might offer. It's probablly still there.

This is a good idea, although I am not sure about the monetary end of it. I can tell you that I have been helped by members of Team Chevelle and it has really been a great help. It is excellent when someone will stop by and help with some task that I cannot do myself.

If I have the time, I'm more than happy to help out on peoples cars, I never charge, back in the day I use to work for beer, but I quit that, so I just do it for fun, as long as it's okay with the wife. Jim

When anyone helps me, I keep em' hydrated and fed. Its the least I could do.

I've helped out guys in the area. Never expected anything more than a beer and the same in return. Now if MartinSr would just move in down the road....... and I'd even promise not to get mad when the secret service runs me off my own property again. :D

I'd be happy to trade some home computer work for someone to come help me get the Chevelle to the point of running. Just a bit more wiring, a tranny install, a driveshaft and a torque converter need to materialize and the fuel system needs to be hooked back up...

I wrench more on members cars than my own (experiment too). Since I have a MIG welder they want me to weld on thier cars. I'm getting better, but I wouldn't weld a quarter on my OWN car! :)

Serouly though, a local club oughta be your first look. Never know, maybe you have an engine builder and a paint guy next door!
