New floor Pans and braces arrived Today woooohooooo!!!
I've searched and read and searched and read and am pretty well prepared for the task ahead. However have one question. Old braces were spot welded....do I just "stitch weld" the edges on the underside? when the time comes to actually weld them to the floor pans????

you can do that or, drill a series holes through the braces, then weld inside the holes in create a "spot weld"

Which is prefered? The stitch welds would be alot easier. But probably wouldn't be as stong

The Stich weld o nthe outer edg will be as strong as the spot weld if theres as many.
If the interior is out, I like to drill holed through the floor and screw the brace flat to the old floor.. and times you need the help of a hammer to make things nice and FLUSH. the full lenght and around the tunnel area..
As I am not the Wrolds best over head welder. I cheat and drill 5/16 or 3/8 holes with a spot weld DRILL across the floor between the screws that hole the floor brace, but not through the floor brace.. then Roset weld them shut like a big spot weld.. lastly remove the screws enlarge ther holes and finish plug welding them ... just my .02
