i'm converting from a bench seat to buckets in my 71 chevelle. i ordered a set of the conversion brackets from opgi. the sales person said i only need one pair, does the outter tracks bolt to the existing holes where the bench bolted to?

Yes, I did the same on a previous resto. Just be carefull not to get them misalligned(inner vs outer), otherwise you will never get the seat to work properly. I believe I bolted the inner bracket to the seat and had the seat either full forward or back. Then bolt the seat to the outer. It's a pain to get at but at this point you can tack weld the new bracket in place then slide it opposite. Tack it again. give it a test ride, If no problems, remove the seat, hope it doesen't move, then stitch weld (every couple of inches both sides) the bracket. Make sure you weld to clean metal.
