Hey fellas.
I am looking for help in fixing small but deep dents in the bed (smugglers panel) of the Elky. I am sure the metal is stretched already from the dent and I am afraid that pounding out the dent will only stretch it further, and not realien back up the main bed floor.Bondo does not seem like much of an answer in a (truck) bed.
I can drill, cut, weld, ect.what ever may be the right way.
Thanks, Greg

There may two choices, ruling out the easier possibility of getting a good used panel from some donor. One would be to heat shrink the bump back flat and the other would be to cut out a small section, then flatten it and weld it. Finish with grinding. I would try the heat shrinking first.

Someone mentioned this too me and I DO NOT KNOW if it will work.. but maybe some of the other guys can tell you.. If they are small dents, get some DRY ICE and hold it over the dent and it should POP back into place. Just don't forget too wear gloves handeling the ice.. As I said I do not have first hand data on this.. But someone told me they have seen it work...
Good Luck

i bought a pin welder. it welds a pin to the metal, then you use a dent puller. then the pin twists right off. well worth it.

Can you take the smugglers Box pannel out ?
with it out you should be able hammer hammer it flat. If not the old screw in panel puller ,by drilled a number of 1/8 in hole or the newer stud welder to PULL out the dent if you can't gain access .
