I really don't want a rust reappearance. Is it okay to use self etching primer over a panel that has already had some filler applied?

Thanks!

variprime or epoxy primer can be applied over filler, most people just spot in the bare metal areas with variprime then apply epoxy to the complete panel. I see you're looking for a forged 283 crank. Just so you know, all 283 cranks are forged, in fact all smallblock cranks to 1967 were forged then only the high performance models from 68 on. If you can't find one locally I'm sure one is available in my area, send me an email if you need one. Bob

I need one for my 62 283 block. Since it has the bores without a recess at the bottom it has to have the forged crank. How much do you have to have for a forged 283 crank?

I'll ask around and see what is available. I have never seen a cast small journal crankshaft, 67 must have been the only year as it was the last year for the smalljournal.
