Hello...

I have a question regarding my El Camino doors. Did the El Camino's only come with one outside rear view mirror? When I purchaed my truck back in '78 it had after-market mirrors. The driver's door on the inside had a bracket welded and stamped with Z34 13480. This bracket is not on the passenger door and the holes for the passenger door mirror are not in the general area that they are on the driver's door. Also, they look like they've been drilled and not punched. Also, the driver's door has
four holes, two for mounting the mirror which
go to two nuts that are on the brace bracket and two bigger holes that may be for a remote
mirror option. Did all doors come with pre-punched holes for the remote mirror option? I've seen many brochours and they all have no mirror on the passenger door. This includes pictures of SS El Camino's.

Thanks!
Al

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the info. What about the four holes I mentioned on the drivers door? Does your have them too? Also, my doors have two sets of stamps on them on the inside near the
door lock. The read: Z38 13480 on the drivers door and Z40 13480 on the passenger door. Do you have these too?

Thanks,
Al
