I had been poking around in the trunk in my '65 and saw that the trunk floor to backlite panel seamsealer was not too good. Well after removing the sealer it was rusted BAD and I poked my finger thru it... How best to repair this area?? It's right where the rubber strip runs behind the bumper and is partly visable. I know there are NO replacement panels for this area. Any ideas?? Plastic filler and fiberglass are no no's in my book...

Your best bet would be to find a donor, or have something fabricated. Thats a common rot spot on 64-65 cars.
