Ebay item # 4587686651. I am looking at this car off of ebay 5th vin number is not a "W" which would make it a 454 I think it is an "H" The owner says it was a SS 350. Do you believe? I was wondering if anyone can give me info about how to verify a true ss. Ive seen chevelle tech link and it is just almost impossible to tell without the build sheet I guess. or is there any other way to tell a 72 ss from a non ss. Taking into consideration there is no build sheet and it has all the ss badges, proper dash, floor shifter,, etc.. Paul.

If its a 454 and numbers matching it would be a SS.
that is about the only way to tell without a buildsheet to be certain. even a 402 could be a non SS in 72.

I only see one picture. He never says it's a real SS in the auction. H in the VIN would be for a 350 2-bbl car. Could be an SS, no way to tell w/out papers.
