Can anyone recommend a place to have a 68 chevelle steering wheel restored? Its the 3 spoke plastic wheel not the wood one. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey there.....There is a place in Poway, California, the name is Quality Restorations (858-271-7374---Dennis@qualityrestorations.com) and they are reported locally in Southern Cal to be one of the best in the country.....I called Dennis and spoke with him about 9 months ago when I was trying to figure out what to do about my steering wheel (same one as u) and realized it was going to be ridiculously expensive (likely near 500-600 bucks!)....so I opted to just buy another one from Danchuck....I think it was $150 and it works for me...if you are going for totally original...then talk to Dennis....good luck

There is a brief article on steering wheel resto in the latest annual edition of Chevelle magazine, which is the one time per year that Primedia publishes this exclusive mag on Chevelles only. On shelves now, got mine yesterday.
It follows other articles I have read. The process can be done yourself perhaps. Basically you use 2 part epoxy to fill your cracks. It can be tinted with model car paints to the similar color. POR makes a steering wheel resto kit also. I believe after you fix the cracks you can sand it, prime it, and paint it as needed. Any body shop could paint it for you once you have fixed the cracks and sanded it smooth to your satisfaction. I haven't done it myself, buy there are magazine articles on how to, if you are inclined to fix it yourself.
