Does anyone know if the PLASTIC front inner fender wells are still avaiable from GM for my 69 chevelle ss 396 and if so what the pt # is too.

I only have to replace 1 because its cracked in a few places and the repros look a little different and you also have to buy them in pairs too. I would contemplate replacing both to keep things looking the same but 1 is perfect. You could bet it would be a real pain in the neck to get those bolts out of the perfect inner fender after being in there for 33yrs (we have all been there before) if i dont have too this being a very clean original unrestored car i have owned for 25+ yrs.

Thanks....Scott

The plastic inners, for the '69, haven't been available for years. The aftermarket ones that I have seen didn't even look original and apparently didn't fit either. Perhaps things have improved in the last couple of years. I bought new steel inners from GM several years ago and they don't crack as did the old original plastic pieces.

You might look into getting the cracks welded up. Plastic can be welded. It is a little bit of work, but they will still be original.

I have the Goodmark steel inners and they look and fit pretty well. I've heard no one has been able to reproduce a decent plastic inner yet. I threw my cracked old originals away.
