to plow their driveway? I'm considering purchasing one to use on my 250' long driveway. My neighbor uses one on his and he seems to do ok with it. Anyone have any recommendations on which brands stand up to a little punishment and have the power to plow? I've checked out the Polaris and Bombardier websites and they both have models that will plow, what'ya think? Thanks, Narti.
p.s. I live in N.H. and we've been blasted with snow the past few years, I also commute a long distance and with the price of fuel, I don't want a plow truck.

250' long drive way. do you have a lot of property? maybe a bobcat might be an option. you could get the plow, a grader, a bucket etc. and have an all around machine. and you could do side work and make decent $. if it's just a dog leg property with a small plot, then the atv would be enough. i hear the polaris is a great machine....
Hi Nick,
I've plowed a 0.5 mile long driveway in BC with a 4-yr old bombardier 650 (or 700?) 4x4 ATV a few times. it was a BIG machine. it moved snow REAL nice. took me two hours for the entire driveway - it was dirt road. nice and steady, comfy ride, heated handgrips.
it did bust the front suspension a few times, though. and where I was, parts were REAL difficult to get.
I have a kawasaki now that's too small to plow (bayou 250), but I cannot say enough good things about their machines. you may want to look into a brute-force 650/750.

I'm with Harley... a small tractor or a skid-steer is very nice to have if you have a large chunk of property. My dad has a little '47 2N Ford with a loader that gets used constantly around the yard.
