We also had to switch to the K36. We rented a corner of a body shop here in Las Vegas(Express Auto Body) for a couple of months for doing our body work, priming, etc., on our '69 Elke.

I like the K36 better than the K200, as I was able to lay it on "Wetter" and it just seemed to "Layer" better. Be sure to keep your gun cleaned (everything), and you should have no problem.

Several of the members of this site recommended that a pressure guage at the spray gun be added so that you keep a minimum pressure of 40-50 lbs. Their advice was correct, as it stayed in that area even when the compressor kicked on.

We received some expert advice from the owner of the body shop (An added bonus). He made sure that we kept thinner in the gun even when not in use and hit the trigger every once in a while to keep things clean.

Because we only do things on our Elke in our spare time (Sounds like a good American term), the primer gets a "GOOD" amount of time to shrink between sanding/priming. We have personally seen the results of not letting the expoxy primers shrink, therefore, time turns into $$$money savings.
