Hi guys got a small issue with my line lock I installed awhile ago. First thing it never worked from the start, and tonight when I tracked things down I found that the wires coming out of the unit have continuity. I believe that the wires inside have somehow crossed. This is an B&M line lock and they claim it is rebuildable but I can't figure out how to tear it apart.

Also just for more insight to the problem. When I have everything hooked up I have power to my activation button but when I hook up my ground I lose the power. I believe that the power grounds in the line lock before it activates the solenoid.

If anyone can help me out with either of these questions I would appreciate it thanks.

deck,
The line lock is a solonoid. It will have continuity. You need to check it with a good dvm on a low resistance scale. If it is shorted, the dvm will read zero on the lowest scale. If it is ok it will probably read a low amount of resistance, maybe 30 -40 ohms ? B&M should be able to tell you the exact resistance.

I took the line lock and hooked up the wires straight to power and I get no click or anything from it. Where do I go from there?
