I just picked up 1 inner fender from goodmark and have a nice stripped gm inner front fender for my 69. I do have an older craftsman 3 hp compressor but no spray gun and no painting experience. should I pick up a cheap gun or could I just use krylon semi flat black from a can? I was hoping to just scuff the goodmark inner and spray while I would have to prime the gm one first. this is a street car and not a show car but i want it to look pretty decent. thanx

I did mine with Krylon semi gloss and they look good.Easy to touch up to.Then i undercoated the bottom side.I would use some rattle can self etch on the bare metal followed by the krylon.

I sand blasted mine, and put 2 coats of POR-15 flat black on. You can use a brush (foam works best). Should last a lot longer than any rattle can paint.

I used eastwoods under hood black spray cans. Expencive but worth it.
