My 72 Chevelle still has the stock metal that bisects the the speaker holes.
When I bought speakes to replace the stockers, they wouldn't sit flush against the underside because the area that mounts the smaller speakers is raised above the mounting surface.
Anybody know of a good source for speakers that'll fit without mods ?
Another thought, is I've been looking for stock speaker grills.
Maybe I could use 1/2" medium density fiber board and make spacers to lower the speakers.
What have you guys that want the stock look done ?
