I have a 65 chevelle. The passenger door you have to slam it to get it to shut. It almost seems like the door needs to be tweeked up a 1/4 inch or so but i am not sure. Could it be the weight of the door and the hinges just need to be replaced. I don't know alot so please any info will help. THanks

Probably needs hinge pins and new bushings. Open the door just enough to clear the quarter panel and lifting from the lower corner see if the door can be lifted in an up and down motion. If you can move the door up and down the hinge pin bushings are worn out and will need replacement. Another way is to open the door and see if it drops, use a body line or moulding as a reference.

It does drop when you open the door. Does that mean that the pins and bushings need to be replaced? Thanks for the help
