I looked up the casting numbers and found I have a:
10066036...350...........2 or 4...Target Master/Goodwrench crate motor, 2-piece rear seal, "Hecho en Mexico"
What are the engine specifications? Im looking to upgrade the cam, and move to a 4 barrel carb but would like to know what Im working with to get the right setup going.

More than likely a spec'ed at 8.5 to 1 CR. motor with a good old -929 sized hy-cam in it! But that actually spec's closer to 8 to 1 CR. (Probably cast dished pistons and 76 cc heads!)..
Great core motor to start with imho. Just have to get the compression up!
Probably 4-bolt mains and a cast rotating assembly too.

That is the standard 250 HP 350 replacement crate engine. Comes with a good 4-bolt main block, cast crank and generic heads. Those block have good thick cores.

They are better than the late 70s blocks but I wouldn't call them heavy duty. Pick up a 69or70 block and then an early target master. The 69 block is much heavier.

For a mild, daily driver this this:
XE 256 Comp Cam, Edelbrock Performer EPS intake, 600 Edelbrock 1406 carb, HEI ignition with good spiral cores wires, and 1 5/8" X 3" long tube headers. Great torque and mileage
More of a weekend cruiser with the stock heads try this:
XE 274 Comp Cam, Performer RPM Air-Gap intake, 750 Edelbrock 1411 carb, same ignition and headers.
More power add a set of Performer RPM heads and Comp Cams Pro magnum rockers with 1.52 ratio.
Add a new double roller timing set to the above combos and use Fel Pro gaskets.
Good Luck :D

My combo is run on that exact block/bottom end. Same block # and everything.
