How do you remove the 66 grill? Mines looks like it is riveted on. Does it come like this from the factory or did someone do something stupid to the car? Also if it is supposed to be riveted do you guys rivet it back on after?

Mine was bolted with little #12 (I think)flat head bolts and nuts. I'm not sure if mine was correct or not.
I'd be interested in what the experts have to say.

No Expert here, but you 66 grill is in fact
riveted in from the factory. For removel I like a die grinder. As for replacement you need not go the re-rivit route.
The 1000 point guy's,they re-rivet it.
Guys like me take a lesser more moderen route. Most the resto places including GROUND UP. Have a kit of rivit headed threaded machine bolts. So you can replace you grill with a nut driver instead of a grinder, and still resemble what the GENERAL looked like.
