Would a 4spd shifter for a 66 Nova be the same one for a 65 Chevelle. It is a console shifter.Thanks!

surfingreg Oct 31st, 05, 4:15 PM Looking in my interchange manual, it looks like the 64-66 Chevelle (exept for SS) manual floor shift only fits in those cars...the interchange only lists the Chevelle...The same goes for what it shows for the 66 Nova..there were two different shifters used in that car as well depending on whether it was an SS or not and for the SS whether it had a 283 or a 327...It looks like the Nova shifter from 66 might work in a 65 or 66 Chevy II but not in the Chevelle...Don't know if anyone out there has tried it, but this is just what is listed in the interchange manual.....
