Shopping for a pair of heads. For the price, I like the trickflows.

Anyone running them, what headers are you using? I've had no luck finding a pair of headers that say they will work with angle plugs and A/C.

Hedman has some which say they work with GM angle plug heads?

I have a set of flowtech headers on my 64 Malibu ss. In the description flowtech say they wont fit angleplug, but for me they work fine. You can always try them on the head before you assembly the engine if they wont fit you can trade them.

355 trickflow heads.

You wouldn't by chance know which ones you have? Did U have to relieve them anywhere to clear?

i am running the 195 heads, the kenny duttweiler ones from summit, and they fit great, have all acc holes in the heads, and i use the hooker comp(not super comp) headers, in a 70 body

I have 1100 FLT camaro/pass 265-400 1 5/8". No clearance problems on my car.

WHICH Trickflow heads are you looking at?

I have a set of the older First Generation Twisted Wedge heads. Work great, but you need special Pro Magnum intake rocker arms from Comp Cams or you'll NEVER get the geometry right.

Plain ole ordinary headers bolt right up and have no issues with the angled plugs.

I'm completely satisfied with them.

I'm looking at the 64cc 23*heads with the cnc chambers. Trying to make up my mind so I can get some stuff ordered.

I have the L98 heads which are angled plugged heads. I have Hedman headers and they fit fine in a 67. No modifications outside of denting the tube a little for the steering shaft.

I like the hedman headers, but have heard the do not fit well with aftermarket angle plug heads.....only GM ones.

I just put in my newly re-built 383 with Canfield Angle Plug Heads... the only one I could find to fit was Hooker Super Comps with 1 3/4 primaries. They fit better in the car than the 1 5/8 Hooker Competition headers I had before.

That's great news for me, I'm throwing a 383 in my car and am upgrading from Hooker Comp 1 5/8" to Super Comp 1 3/4" and have been concerned about how the bigger headers are going to fit in my 67.

If you are looking for some nice CNC'd heads for a good Price I would Check out the Canfield heads, or AFR Heads. I have used both and I was very happy with them. The Canfields' seem to have a nicer casting and I believe they offer a high quality and lower cost shaft rocker system to go with them. I ended up using some Yella Terra Shaft Rockers with mine.

I'd think about super comps, but unfortunately they won't work on an AC car according to their description.

I'm not going all out...........I don't think my stock bottom end 406 will be too too radical. With the cnc chamber trickflows I should be right about 10.2:1 . With a voodoo 268 think it will be a great street engine and not too radical. Don't "think" I need more than a 1 5/8" header.

I've got a extra set of Trick Flow Duttweiler series heads up at Mike Stark's getting freshened up. I believe they are the dual spring, 72cc version, though. Not sure...I'll have to look up the paper work.
If interested, Kevin, drop me a line. I've got the TF roller rockers and recommended TF pushrods too.

That would be great, but with a 72cc chamber I'd be down to 9.5:1 at best. Was really hoping for a little more.

I have a set of the 62cc Trick Flow 195 runner heads that I've just started blending the valve seats into the bowls. They're used but in nearly new shape, very low mileage. I'd rather run the bigger chamber and flat top pistons on this particular engine - maybe we can do a swap??? Email me at 81vette4speed@cox.net if you're interested.

I have the 23 degree signature series heads, non-cnc because i was looking to maximize compression with the 62cc chambers. Couldn't be more happy, didn't change rockers because it wasn't in the budget so I'm running the stock 1.5 stamped steal with new pushrods, I was told thats fine but i'm still warry about it.

Thanks, I wasn't worried so much about the AC as the angle plugs hitting. Guess I'll go with a pair of those.

Funny I wasn't aware these were angle plugs, when I bought them everything said straight plugs. The angle is so minor i believe if anything it provides more clearance. Its one of those double-take situations where your thinking "thats not actually straight, is that right? oh well" they work and I couldn't be happier with them, its nice to know that they have more potential in them too :D
