Is there a way to remove/reuse the cable retaner clip (white nylon) used in the accelerator pedal. also is there a way to shorten the cable, mine seems to be about an inch to long. (stock carb/cable set up 69 ss)

My accel pedal clip broke and didn't have a replacement. I just used a nylon bushing, cut a slit down one side to slip over the cable, then pull back cable. If you have the correct bushing it should just pop out.
