They are grainy and blurry because I took the pics with no flash to get the lighting to stand out more. The blue high beam light isn't nearly as invasive and annoying as the pics indicate.

I still have a few minor things to take care of in the interior. I am happy with the way my dash came out.

Gauges are autometer sport-comps.

Looks good!
I've got the same dash insert from Covan's, My gauges a ultra-light AutoMeter.
I haven't got as far along as you but I'm working at it, I'll be putting it on hold for a month now while I'm in Brazil.
We're are also in the middle of selling our home and buying another, I just don't get any time to work on the Chevelle :(

Looks great! I just got the same panel from Covans the other day. Did you have to do any cutting or trimming to make it fit? Overall, how easy/difficult was the install?

I had to do some trimming to get the small gauges on the bottom to fit!

1-10 scale, how difficult was it?
1-10 scale how much cutting?
1-10, durability of piece?
1-10, would you reccomend it?
I'm trying to decide whether or not to get one.

I am still having sticker shock from the $250 price tag but I think its going to look great and be well worth it in the end. I do think the gauge area feels a little flimsy so I am going to do what some others here have done. I am going to get a piece of 1/8" abs plastic and cut it to fit so I can glue it on the backside of the panel to make it stiffer. Some people have done this with aluminum but I found some of the plastic on ebay and thought it would be easier to work with.

Difficulty - depends on how proficient you are at wiring. I tend to hate but this wasn't that hard. I'll say 5. I will say that I did this in a way that would make an electrician cringe, but hey...ya dont need "pretty" to power 6 LEDs. Hell if ya need advice when ya get it, I'd be more than happy to help. You can get many colors of LEDs to work with your scheme.
Cutting - very little, you'll end up cutting the ridge thats above the lighter area, all the way to the steering column hump.
Durability - cant say for sure, since I have not actually used the car with it in. But it will do the job, and it definitely looks cool, IMO.
recommend - YES! You dont have many choices in this area, and I personally love the look.

Trust me on this: actually that blue high beam *will* be just as bright and obnoxious as the picture indicates :-)

Just wait until you have to look at it in the dark.

Looks good though.
