What should the seem between the rocker and quarter panels look like? Should there be a clear gap with a break in the paint? Looked at a car today that had nice straight seem, but there was no break in the paint between the 2 panels. Paint seemed to fill the seem some?

What about the seems where the panel behind the rear window meet the quarters? Same type of deal there.

One quarter was replaced and the other is the original, but both sides look the same. Not sure if the seems were doctored up with bondo or what.

Mine were filled with seam sealer or some other kind of sealer; I had the pass 1/4 panel replaced and the rear window to trunklid filler panel replaced on mine.

On my unresto'd (in progress tho.) '72, both of these places are filled with Seam Sealer. However, it's stil depressed a little bit. Like it goes in 1/8" or so..

That's exactly how this one is. Has your car ever been repainted or that's how it came from the factory?

It's been sprayed before. But It was just sprayed on top of the factory stuff. I can still see the factory colors and such..

Thanks for the info. On the 70 Camaro I had it was obvious that the filler panel was separate. It had gaps and could actually be removed by itself. Not familiar with chevelles so I had to ask. Thanks.
