: Bondo before spatter paint?

I've got a few little bitty holes in my trunk that can let water leak in say from splashes and such from the road, though it's rare. I'm wondering if I should bondo these little holes first or if the spatter paint is kind of thick enough to 'clog' the holes and be OK (don't really know what the paint is like). I've got 3 cans of spatter paint (just incase) and a trunk mat that will be going on top. Thanks.

I'd clean it and try the POR 2-part epoxy filler before I'd use Bondo. Of course you SHOULD patch in new metal, but there was a cool article on the POR web site about using POR trunk kit to patch a trunk or floor.

There are probably more than a few that have not had good results with POR stuff. I have had excellent results with the POR paint and the 2 part epoxy.

I'd use POR putty or their 2-part epoxy after you CLEAN the area all the way out. If it just tiny pinholes, you'll be ok. You could add some cloth mat (like for fiberglass) to help it cover over the holes. just soak it in regular POR and lay it over a freshly painted on layer of the stuff (follow all directions). really adds some bulk and seals it up good...

Of course, this is if you dont cut/patch it with metal.
