I have a 1969 L89 Chevelle and would like more info on these cars, any help would be appreciated.

So does Don Lightfoot and he can probably answer any question you have. Until he happens along, I'll throw in my .02. It's basically an L-78 375 hp 396 with the L-89 option added on top of that, which consists of substituting similar aluminum head castings in place of the rect port cast iron L-78 heads.

where in mass are you located? if you are close enough i can help you with some of the numbers. if you have a true L-89 thats a very nice piece to own. mike

Only 400 produced on the line originally with those #3919842 Al.Heads.
Can you share some of the documentation with us?

I live in Wakefield MA.
I have the build sheet for the car it was found on top of the gas tank. The car has many options but no gage package and it was built in Framingham MA.

One has 37K orig miles.
