I have not been able to find one (any better than the one the I have) to replace it with. Is re-chroming the one that I have a good option? Last I heard, the glass part was a pretty common inter-changeable piece that is still available through Pep Boys and the likes. I researched this when I got one from a junkyard car, ended up selling it to someone with a 71 GMC Sprint that was missing it's original one. BBaker Dec 6th, 04, 5:14 PM This is the response that I got by PM. You need to take a pocket screwdriver and spread the crimped area around the ends of the wires. Be very carefull not to break off the little piece of crimp. Mark the wires to get them back in the same slots. If I remember right you can then pull it thru the mirror base/back. This is the end on the adjuster. Once you get it back just place the wire ends back in the adjuster and recrimp them with a pair of pliers or needlenose..... I hope this makes sense... If you use the search mode for last year it was dicussed by a few of other guys. | ||
