Hi,
I'm new here and hope to find a definitive answer to a couple of questions both relating to a 70 Chevelle LS6
1. What is the correct bellhousing color on 4spd cars?????
2. Was the plastic dash trim painted silver or chrome. I am referring to the trim rings around the gauges etc.
Thanks in advance

The bellhousing should be installed on the block, then painted with the block, so it would get 3 or 4 inches of orange over spray on it.
The trim on the dash is chrome.
So I assume the bellhousing is natural (aluminum) except for the oversprayed areas correct????
On the dash thing, I had been told that both chrome and silver trimmed dashes were used as well as on the steering wheel trim (stock wheel). Any truth to this????
Thanks I appreciate the help

Yes, bellhousing is natural except for overspray.
All dashes were chrome not silver. Some/most repro's are silver. Most steering wheel trim was chrome as well. I don't know of any that were silver.
