hey guys, and gals.
i was going over my car today before i take it to get dyno'd on friday, and i found and knew my carb was leaking. it is a Holley 750 vac sec dual feed. i have a chrome dual holley line on it, and it leaks from the rear threads at the rear bowl (on the line side), and also leaks out the tube that goes into the bolt that gets tightened to the rear bowl. does anybody know of anyway to correct this?
it might sound confusing, and if confused, i will post pics.

I have a holley too..I think I am using one of those cheap chrome dual feed line setups from summit..also have had leak problems..most I dealt with early on, however I just had one re-occur..maybe this will be helpful:
I had a leak where the line goes into the carb..there is a really thin gasket behind the large nut on the carb..try to tighten than nut, it may stop it. I think this nut is a weird size or something, as I remember having to use an adjustable to get it..might be metric or something.
I think that the threaded nuts that are part of the fuel line..that thread into the carb are part of the problem..seems that they chrome right over the threads, which in some cases can lead to a leak..try taking a wire wheel to the threads and remove the chrome from the threads, I think you will find that it will be easier to tighten and seal up better. I think I also may have tried some loctite 567 hi temp teflon sealant with some success, but that was a last resort.
I also had some slight leakage from the bottom front of the carb bowl area..its a small phillips head screw and green gasket on my carb (750HP)..a little extra torque on the screws stopped this one.
Hope this helps a little anyways..

thanks. actually, what seems to be the problem is their is a little slop in the line that threads up to the carb. it doesnt really leak form the threads, but more as from where the line goes into the threaded part.i kind of made is worse than what it was by taking the line off.
thanks again.

i belive i fixed it. just made the bolt tighter, and added some teflon tape as a seal before the flare.
thanks
