Wasted about 10K worth of brake lining the other day coming back from a trip. You know, the typical "rubber necking" behind outbuildings, and BINGO... a "For Sale".
Didn't have much time, but:
'69 El Camino, solid, sign said 350 HP engine, auto, round dash cluster, no guages (but had clock), SS wheels (looked like 14's). Had the chrome trim for a vinyl top, but no top (painted body color??). Looked under, and does have 12 bolt. No other claims to originality.
Asking price $12,500.
Like I said, I had NO time for a thorough crawl around, but it's worth the 1-1/2 hour drive back if properly "armed".
How, What, Where to verify true "SS" status, and things to look for.
