Hi Guys and Gals The So Cal Chevelle and Camino club needs some help. Make a wish has contacted us to help with the resto and reveal of a 67 Malibu for a 16 year old. The problem The car that this kid purchased is a POS it needs a frame and is a bondo bucket. We are looking for a decent cowl back or a complete rolling car engine and trans not needed so we can get this kid a good ride. The next big problem is we have no buckeroos to work with if anyone can help out or knows of a car avaliable let me know via e-mail all emails will be answered. If anybody can get this done the good people here can Thanks in advance.......Gene......................

I have a '66 Malibu, it is the carcass of my car that was stolen 7/30/05. I am relatively close, in Las Vegas.
Questions/Facts
1. It's a '66 not a '67, a "Z" serial #(Calif), Factory A/C
2. The thieves apparently had intentions to sell as scrap, roof is cut all the way across
3. With the exception of one pin hole (so small, primer covered and plugged it completely) in a low spot in the trunk, the car is rust free.
4. I am an enormous procrastinator until something flips the switch, then I'm way too gung ho, way, way, way too......
Should 1,2,and 3 sound acceptable, here's the deal with #4.
I have another '66 that is in the works. I'll call the new one "black" and the old one "yellow". The black car has everything forward of the firewall removed (has wheels, no steering ). It came with most parts in the pass. compartment, but no bolts.
Since yellows chassis is complete (front discs, 12 bolt posi, adj arms, 3"exh were not stolen), I plan on putting black's shell on yellow's chassis. This is currently next on the list, maybe this weekend.
Next, all of the interior, including the bucket seat and console bracket mounting tabs off the floor pan will be used in black.
Both front clips are straight, haven't decided on which mix I'll use, but once their bolted together, the others are otherwise spares (sorry, only one hood).
I don't know your schedule and your not hemoraging cash, are you. That discards the likelyhood of reality television, so probably not deadline critical.
How about this, I'll email or PM you my cel #, if there's something that I have that can help, this would be the fastest way to "Gitter Done".

Hey Gene,
Your profile will not permit emails through TC.
You haven't responded to TC Personal Message.
You have not posted on you Make a Wish thread.
Are we to assume that you have in fact located all the parts for the kids '67.
If anyone has an alternate way to contact Gene or knows the status of this build, please help in the follow up. If they may want any of my parts, I'll have to know real soon, otherwise any consideration would be down the road a while, I'll be too busy to accommodate their needs.
