Hello everyone!
I'm new to the board, and I just purchased a 68 Chevelle "project car". Car is completely in pieces and boxes, but appears to be complete.
The car was originally a 307 car, but the owner was going to convert to a 454. I have the short block, but I doubt he had all the correct mounts.
My question is about Pulleys/Throttle cables, etc. When I'm shopping for PS Pulleys, Water Pump Pulleys, Alternators brackets, etc. are 396 and 454 parts interchangeable? I see several places where I can get reprodcution "Big Block" parts for 68, but my guess is these are all for the 396 engine. If I can use these on my 454 that would make this much easier.
Any other links or suggestions/thoughts on this conversion would be greatly appreciated.
