Sorry I didn't get this going earlier.

Well, as usual, the 'Stros had plenty of chances to score and let them go by the wayside. I guess we should be used to this by now.

I think the weather in Chicago is going to be a big factor in this series. If Houston can grab this game today, I'm going to be very optimistic about our chances. We just play a lot better at home. I think the loud Houston crowd can get to the Sox pitchers.

That Jenks is a monster, but I just have to wonder how much stamina he has. I'd like to see Houston make him work for it. He's overpowering, but no one is unhittable.

Crede really won that game for them. He's got a great glove and some pop in the bat.

OTOH, something needs to be done about Ensberg. He's my favorite position player, but he is constantly adjusting his stance. Isn't Gary Gaetti the hitting coach? He needs to have a sitdown with Morgan and then work with him in batting practice. We NEED production from his spot.

I really can't stand this White Sox team. They have a slight swagger that gets to me. Plus, I think they like to play mind games. That A.J. Pierzyadayadayada guy.....he really ticks me off. I was never a fan of Ozzie Guillen either. Heck, if they were perennial winners, I could see their reason for having an attitude. But, this is the first year they've really put anything together. I know it's important to have a good attitude, but something about them rubs me raw.

GO ASTROS!!!

P.S. Anybody on here have Series tickets?

Thats an understatement, but I don't think he has the stamina in a long series. He threw 2 innings, and the last inning I think he topped out at 'only' 97. (Ha...only  ).

I gotta go with teh Sox. I think they have more power in the lineup then the 'stros. They also have a better pitching staff, as a whole. If we talk starters, there are no better then Clemens/Oswalt/Pettite and Backe isn't half bad either.

It should be a good series to watch. I say Sox in Six. But thats me.

I wish I did have tickets (most that watch would), but only in Houston. I would love to see that park...and Chicago looked cold last night.

Geez, what a game.

Why can't the 'Stros just give us a couple of normal easy wins? They always do it the hard way.

This is already a heckuva series.

GO ASTROS!!!

 I just don't understand why they can't get one single hit with runners in scoring position to win a game. I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND.......

Did you people actually stay up to watch the end of that game and get up this early?

Astros are cursed. They will not win because Pettitte and Clemens left the Yankees. It is that simple....

Well, the 'Stros couldn't hit a lick and that's the end of it. I honestly don't think the White Sox have nearly as great a pitching staff as everyone thought they did. They gave up a lot of walks and hit several batters. Houston just can't hit, plain and simple.

I would say, "wait till next year!", but I'm afraid the window of opportunity is about closed for this current Houston team.

Clemens will probably retire. Haven't heard anything, tho.
Biggio is 39, however, he is coming off his best season ever, so that's a tossup.
Bagwell may never be what he once was. Plus, he's 36.
I'm sure there will be a few guys that move on, as that seems to be the status quo nowadays.

Overall, I'm not extremely optimistic about '06 for Houston, BUT, anything is possible and they could be even better by this time next season.

Time will tell. It was a great run and I lived and died every day this season with those guys. It's been a long time, for me, since that happened.

Goodbye '05 'Stros. Goodbye.

I'd like to get the last word in on this.

Last word. There, I said it. :)
