Ok, I had to take the grill out to get the condensor out and now I thought would be a good time to go ahead and paint the grill so that it looks like the "blacked" out SS grills of 72. My question is, is it totally black or a dark grey? I can't tell from pictures. I saw in another post to use 60% gloss but that person also question why black so I am confused?

The grill should be black, not grey.

You don't even have to paint the 2 middle bars. Just remove the chrome strips and you're done.

Remove the strips? I didn't know it was possible. That's the best solution of all. Thanks.
