Are the exterior painted posts extending from the fender to the top of the windshield the same for a hardtop and convertible? Please reply to ezblu@hotmail.com

They are the same in '65 and being the windshield, and mouldings are the same in'67 between conv. and coupe/hardtop they should be the same also.

It has been many years since I owned a 67 hdtp, but I'd have to say no.

MARTINSR is right that the 67 winshield & chrome are same for hdtp & conv. but on the conv., there is a removable facia on the outside of the pillar post. I don't believe this "outer skin" is removable on a hdtp.

I believe that the 66-67 has a removable facia. When you take the windshield out, you can see the screws holding it on.

I was just about to post that I have no reason to believe that they aren't the same (after hearing from Bob & MARTINSR) but I just thought of something that would make me still question the compatability of the facia between the hdtp & conv.

There may still be an issue at the top. The conv. has header end caps that fit over the top of this removable piece. The hdtp has the drip molding that wraps around the front a bit. I don't know exactly how that area is blended on a hdtp.

I don't know your situation. Maybe you can just get a set & look them over and/or try them out.

Good luck,
