I remember there being stacks of these at the local "Grandpa Pigeons Discount Store". Guess they're hard to come by these days...........how the years fly by.

WOW, I just threw away a pair of Purple Hories header mufflers...exact same specs as those. I think I paid about 60.00 brand new less than a year ago. I guess having the bird on them makes them much more valuable.

My dad had those on his chevelle and he got pulled over alot because it was so loud. :cool:

What kind of performance would you get out of those things?

I would think on the performance piont of view,I would like the mufflers farther away from the headers,but most likely makes no difference,these were the big rage in the 1980s--jmo--67rat

everyone in high school ran those, you just went to supershops bought your 49.99 headers and pay 16.99 for each of those and you were legal. unfortunately everytime you hit a speed bump you would clearance them a little,

I used to run the Thrush Hush (turbo knockoffs) in the 70's. Yikes $180 for a $20 muffler!! Someone will start knocking them off........

I just went to the Auto Zone by my house. They have these in stock....$29.95 each. I figure I can buy all they have in stock and make a killing on eBay. Better yet, with my proceeds from the auctions, I can buy parts for my Velle. Pennies from Heaven!! LOL!!!

Walker/Dynomax/Thrush Continental, (smooth perforated inner pipe), glasspacks owned by Dynomax now.

Red now, but used to be blue colored. And you used to be able to buy just the blanks so you could weld them on.

Best glasspacks made, IMHO!!
