I have a body swap question for the experts. My friend is looking at buying a ’68 Chevelle ElCamino that is hit in the front and he can get his hands on a ’68 Chevelle sedan front clip rather cheap. His and my question is can this swap work, in other words will the ’68 sedan clip fit on the ’68 ElCamino.

i want to say yes. when you try to buy a fender you dont buy one for a el camino and then a different one for a sedan.

All body styles use the same front clip in 68 (69 and older actually)

now 70-72 is a different story, station wagon and Elky share the same (but different from the other body styles) front clip.

73 & later are back to being the same again.
