I have some orig 15x8 chev ralley wheels under my 70 Elky with STD rear axle. Will the 295/50's go under without clearance issues?

they will fit under the chevelle, not sure on the elkie

Ya. I have a 70 with 10"x295's under it but the Elky guards look a little smaller/narrower?.....cheers Mate..

I think they will fit ok on the car, just think that maybe 295's on an 8" rim is a little much.

I had 295/50's under my elky for about 10 months. They were mounted on a 9" wheel with 5.5" backspacing, though. Fit perfectly with no rub and no fender lip mods.

I want the 295's as I have a 235/60 on the front and I want the extra height on the rears,to get the look right.[ and I just happen to have a pair lying around].Sounds like they'll clear Ok...later
