I am in the process of bodywork on My '70 Chevelle... and am smoothing out the firewall. Is it possible to install a wiper-motor under the dash or some other area, so I can get rid of the motor that is mounted on the firewall??

I have seen this somewhere before, but I don't beleive it was on a Chevelle. If this is done, is it also possible to have the "hidden" wiper system, where the wipers park below the cowl??

Any ideas?

Street rod vendors sell a "cable" driven wiper setup. Could probably be adapted to anything. see http://www.sachserodshop.com/catalog/ for examples. The motor mounts inside the kickpanel.
