I posted last week asking where everyone was mounting their tach. I think it was Jeffss, sorry if I got the name wrong, that had a picture of his mounted in the dash. I likey, sooo I have already taken the complete guage cluster out and plan on installing the tach where my clock is or was. A great time to clean the wiring up and make everything nice and neat again. I still plan on also installing a shift light, location unknown at this time.
My question is with the Auto meter tachs, does a remote shift light connect just to the tach? I have searched through their website but didn't find much info on the remore shift lights or install instructions.
Thanks for the help
I should add that when I took the dash apart the plastic or plexi lens for the 4 guages was pretty scratched and dull. I thought I was going to have to try and replace it but I came across a scratch remover polish for plexi. It is called Novus. I bought 1 bottle of the #3 , a courser grit and a #2, finer grit. About 1 1/2 hours polishing by hand in front of the boob tube and the lense looks almost like new. You can actually see through it again
